Citrus Production

Graves Brothers Company owns and actively manages over 8,000 acres of land containing citrus groves, vegetable production and cattle grazing.  The groves are located in Indian River, St. Lucie and Hendry Counties, Florida.

Citrus varieties include Grapefruit (Ruby Red, Flame and White) and Round Oranges (Hamlin, Pineapple, Vernia, and Valencia).  The Grapefruit are produced in the Indian River District for the fresh fruit market.  The Round Oranges are produced for the processed juice market.

All groves are equipped with permanent low volume irrigation systems allowing efficient utilization of our water resources.  Additionally, satellite and computer technologies facilitate our practice of Precision Agriculture, which is the most advanced methodology for the application of chemicals and fertilization.  The efficient use of inputs improves management economy by maximizing crop benefit while minimizing the impact on the environment.

Management personnel have university degrees in Agriculture.  All supervisory employees are trained and certified in agricultural chemical applications.
